En matière de teinture végétale, on obtient parfois des résultats inattendus et assez moches !

Mais comme je déteste jeter, surtout de la laine, j'ai sauvé l'affaire gràce a la teinture au papier crépon :

But I hate throwing away things that can be useful, especially wool. So I saved it with the crepe paper dye : 

La couleur de l'écheveau devant a été baptisée "Queue de sirène" par ma fille ;-)

The color of the skein on the front has been named "Mermaid 's tail" by my daughter ;-)

Teinture au papier crépon / dyeing with crepe paper

Selon la méthode Tricotin.com  en  5 étapes : 

With the Tricotin.com method in 5 steps : 

1 - Choisir une pelote ronde de pure laine

Choose a round ball of pure wool

2 - Enrouler des bandes de papier crépon et bien les attacher

Wrap crepe paper strips around the wool and tie them

3 - Mettre dans un bain d'eau avec du vinaigre et passer au micro-ondes puissance maximum pendant 5 minutes

Put the wool in water with vinegar and heat in the microwave oven for 5 minutes

4 - Laisser dans l'eau pendant au moins une nuit et rincer

Leave in the water for at least one night and rinse

5 -Laisser sécher et admirez
