Teinture "solaire" et mini-châle / Slow dyeing and mini shawl

Je retrouve mon cher blog et je vous rassure : je vais bien mais c'est mon cher papa qui est hopitalisé et je pense bien à lui.

I'm back and I must tell you I am OK but my Dad is in hospital so I send him a lot of love.

 

Comme l'été dernier, je suis partie en vacances en laissant quelques bocaux mijoter au soleil : 

Like last summer, I went on holiday while a few jars were "cooking" in the sun : 

Essentiellement un mélange de feuilles d'eucalyptus et de fleurs d'hybiscus et aussi des colorants alimentaires qui fonctionnent très très bien dans un bocal au soleil avec un peu de vinaigre blanc.

Mostly a mixture of eucalyptus leaves and hybiscus flowers, but also some food colouring because it works very well in the sun with some white vinegar.

Ma plus belle réussite est cette pelote qui combine le rose et le brun et qui donne de jolies nuances une fois crochetée : 

My favourite is this wool which combines the pink of the hibiscus flower and the brown of the eucalyptus and I love the result I got on this crocheted edge : 

Je l'ai donc utilisée pour finir un mini-châle qui a demandé un certain temps pour cause chaleur intense cet été !!

As you can see, I used it for this mini-shawl that took a long time to be finished because of the heat we got this summer !

Un petit modèle personnel tricoté en jersey puis au point mousse avec une bordure en crochet....le tout en laine....de brocante !

This is a personnal creation with knitted and purled parts and a crocheted edge..and I made it entirely with wool I bought in the brocantes of the region !
