Recyclage de cravates et chemise assorties achetées en brocante, d'après un modèle d'estampe chinoise pour la forme des pétales. Dommage que l'aspect satiné des tissus ne soit pas visible sur les photos !

Upcycling coordonated shirt and ties bought in a brocante. I got inspired by a chinese painting for the shape of the petals. It's a pity you can't see the silky aspect of the fabrics on the photos !

Rose Cardigan from Andrea Mowry

Ce Rose cardigan de Andrea Mowry est terminé depuis une semaine....

Bon, évidemment il n'est pas rose....

C'est certainement le plus difficile de mes tricots mais il est accompagné d'un diagramme qui permet de suivre le modèle ligne par ligne. Il se tricote en cadrants ( avant gauche, avant droit, etc...) qui sont ensuite assemblés dans le milieu du dos et le long des épaules et des bras. Il est volontairement un peu grand et on peut le superposer avec d'autres pulls plus fins.

My Rose cardigan from Andrea Mowry  is finished and it is probably the hardest pattern I have knitted up to now.... 

It's  rather difficult but the patterns comes with a grid that enables you to tick as you knit the rows you have made. 

J'ai utilisé quatre couleurs de laine à chaussettes allemande nuancée que j'ai acheté cet été : la Strumpfwolle de chez Wolle Rödel. Elle est très douce et super solide ce qui me permettra de porter ce gilet longtemps je l'espère.

 I knitted it with variegated sock wool I bought last summer in Germany : Strumpfwolle de chez Wolle Rödel. It is very soft and I hope very robust so I hope I will be able to wear this carigan for a very long time.

En tous cas, bravo à la créatrice qui a mis au point un modèle très original et super à porter.

Congatulations to the knitwear designer who created a superb pattern and a very pleasant caridgan to wear.

Knitted with purple alpaga from Drops that I had bought on a brocante mixed with one very thin light pink wool . It's so soft !

Je l'ai tricoté avec de l'alpaga de chez Drops acheté en brocante mélangé avec une fine laine rose claire. Il est super doux !

Gilet en coton recyclé / Recycled cotton cardigan

Enfin terminé après un an d'attente, parce qu'il m'a permis de réaliser que je n'aime vraiment pas tricoter du coton ( Je trouve que ça ne glisse pas bien sur les aiguilles...) Ce petit gilet super confortable va partir en vacances avec moi. C'est un modèle Phildar tiré de ce livre que je vous conseille vraiment : les modèles sont simples et classiques et les explications sont données avec plusieurs tailles de laine pour le même pull ce qui permet de les tricoter avec toutes les fils possibles.

I finally finished this cardigan I started one year ago. At the time, I realised that I don't like knitting cotton because it's not slipping as easily on the needles as wool. It's super comfy and I'm going to take it with me on holiday. It is from a french book of patterns from Phildar which is really super but...you need to be able to read French...😉.
